In Year 4 we have been

Beach Day

It seems we have some budding surfers in our year 4 class! You all did excellently with amazing tuition from Surfs Up Surf School.
Year Four have been very busy making clay characters, planning and producing their very own animations. I am extremely proud of the way that the children worked together, the enthusiasm that they showed and the sense of pride that they had in their work.
Year Four enjoyed making poppies and learning about WW1.
Year Four worked together in groups to investigate sound. We conducted experiments to find the material that is best at muffling the sound made by the stereo. We came back as a class and discussed our findings. We found the pillow and plastic tray worked the best.
It has been wonderful watching Year Four share their positive thoughts about each other, creating their friendship hands
Rudy in Year Four received a green card today for showing Determination, Excellence and Inspiration. After purchasing a book at the book fair on Monday he has completed it already, reading 226 pages in one day. Wow!

Making the most of the glorious sunshine, we looked at and discussed the resources that we have in our classroom for Maths. This afternoon, Year Four enjoyed using these to support them with their times tables.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Year Four have had a fun filled couple of weeks, enjoying lots of Christmas activities. We would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
