St. Breock is one of the Celtic Saints of Wales, Cornwall and Brittany. His birth has been dated as A.D. 425 and his death as an old man in his nineties in A.D. 515. He was born in Cardiganshire on the west coast of Wales. He has given his name to a parish in Gloucestershire, St. Briavels and founded an important monastery in Saint Brieuc in Brittany. It was said of St. Breock that ‘ he sincerely loved all men, he respected those younger than himself and he made himself subject to all by serving all’.

St Breock is a welcoming and friendly environment in which individual children are nurtured and encouraged to grow with confidence, preparing them for their path ahead. We strive to create a foundation for learning, which is embedded for life. Health and well being is of utmost importance and we seek to develop this so children are able to reach their full potential.

Learning, Love and Laughter is our school motto and is at the core of everything we do. We have developed a Toolkit for Learning, Love and Laughter, which uses the Olympic Values of; determination, respect, inspiration, courage, excellence, friendship and equality as characteristics of a good learner and to frame their personal development. We ensure the children are able to use this as a language for learning, which builds resilience and independence.
