Sports for all was born from an idea to find a sport for every child. We wanted to find a way to maximise P.E and sporting activity within the school day beyond the government’s statutory two hours. We developed our traditional 'Promise Play' on a Friday afternoon to an extra physical 45 minute session. The children are split into groups and rotated around various physical activity. We are always looking to introduce new activities, thorugh our staff, parents and community and offer the children routes into Community Clubs to ensure they benefit from the power of active lifestyle. If you feel you may have something you can offer our Sports For All programme on a Friday afternoon, please get in touch.
The activity changes each half term and we endevour to make them as varied as possible so there is a broad experience and embedding an active lifestyle becomes like breathing.
In its first year of 2014 the programme was recognised nationally and received a Youth Sport Trust Award for Excellence in School Sport. Since then the programme has evolved to include anything physical and enjoying the outdoors.
Our Sport For All Kit is supplied by AGAME and sponsored by businesses in our local community. There are some pictures of our recent sponsors below.
