Welcome to Year 2!

We are delighted to welcome you to Year 2 and are excited to share our learning journey with you this year. Throughout the year, the children will be encouraged to explore new ideas, ask questions, be creative, and grow in confidence as learners each day. They will take part in enjoyable science activities, learn about engaging topics in history, develop their creative writing skills, and build confidence in maths.

We will also support the children on the start of their times tables learning journey. This will be done through fun games and simple memory strategies to help make learning enjoyable and help the children develop a positive attitude towards maths throughout the year.

We look forward to sharing your child’s learning with you and keeping you updated on all that we have been doing in Year 2.
