Intent: At St Breock, Geography is an integral part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Our curriculum is ambitious and inclusive, ensuring all pupils develop secure locational knowledge, place understanding and key geographical skills. Through high‑quality teaching, pupils gain the knowledge and skills to observe, question, investigate and interpret the world around them, confidently using maps, atlases, digital mapping and fieldwork techniques while deepening their understanding of human and physical processes and how they shape places. We aim to: ·        Inspire curiosity about the world, its people, environments and diverse places. ·        Develop pupils’ locational knowledge of the UK, Cornwall, Europe and the wider world. ·        Build secure understanding of human and physical geography through meaningful enquiry and investigation. ·        Embed high‑quality fieldwork so pupils can observe, record and interpret geographical features first‑hand. ·        Ensure pupils confidently use maps, atlases, digital tools and geographical vocabulary across all year groups. ·        Promote understanding of global responsibility, sustainability and pupils’ place within local, national and international communities. |
