At St Breock, Art and Design is an integral part of a broad and balanced curriculum. The curriculum is ambitious and inclusive, ensuring all pupils develop creativity, technical skills and self‑expression. Through high‑quality teaching, pupils gain the knowledge and skills to experiment, create and evaluate artwork confidently while building cultural understanding.

We aim to:

·      Engage, inspire and challenge pupils, developing proficiency in a range of media

·      Enable pupils to experiment, create and critique their own work and that of others using the language of art, craft and design

·      Introduce a wide range of influencers, including great artists, local artists, craftspeople and designers

·      Explore the evolution of society through history, culture, creativity and wealth

·      Ensure pupils confidently use subject specific Art and Design vocabulary
