Intent At St Breock, Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE) forms a strand of our Personal Development offer which is at the heart of our broad and balanced curriculum. We believe every child is unique and should be supported to grow in confidence, resilience and self-belief. Our curriculum is ambitious and inclusive, ensuring all pupils develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to embrace who they are, celebrate differences and strive to achieve their goals. Our curriculum promtoes the British Values and through high-quality teaching and meaningful experiences, pupils are encouraged to be courageous, value themselves and others, and recognise their potential to make a positive impact on the world.  We aim to: Sex & Relationship Education The programme for Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) forms an important part of our PSHE Curriculum. It is carefully integrated into the Changing Me Unit, which takes place in the Summer Term. I develops an understanding of families and growth from a baby, to a child, to an adult. It explores the physical and emotional changes that happen during puberty. Most importantly it focuses on the importance of trusting caring relationships, where respect and the rights of an individual form the basis of all healthy relationships. |
