“Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts. ” – Albert Einstein

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” -Dr. Seuss

You were not made to hide or to be invisible. Each and every one of us is born to stand out. We simply need to decide we are going to, and be brave while we do.

When you embrace your difference, your DNA, your look or heritage or religion or your unusual name, that's when you start to shine. Bethenny Frankel

Intent

At St Breock, Personal Development is at the heart of our broad and balanced curriculum. We believe every child is unique and should be supported to grow in confidence, resilience and self-belief. Our curriculum is ambitious and inclusive, ensuring all pupils develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to embrace who they are, celebrate differences and strive to achieve their goals. Through high-quality teaching and meaningful experiences, pupils are encouraged to be courageous, value themselves and others, and recognise their potential to make a positive impact on the world.

We aim to:
Enable and promote pupils’ understanding of life, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge for the future
• Foster a strong sense of self-worth, ensuring pupils recognise their individuality and value their unique identities
• Encourage pupils to embrace differences and understand that diversity is something to be celebrated
• Support pupils to develop resilience, ambition and the confidence to pursue their aspirations
• Ensure all pupils play a positive role within school and the wider community, embodying British Values
